Red Carpet Best Dressed Winners at the APFC 2010!

Prior to the American Pole Fitness Championships in New York October 23, 2010, we announced that the best dressed at the event will be awarded their very own cover page in our January 2011 print edition issue. Without further ado we would like to present 2010 winners Vivian Carias and Ana Suarez whom we had to track down by posting their images on our Facebook page to identify. The lovely pair are the 1st winners of the coveted Pole Spin cover page! As we would soon find out later, they went through great lengths to look their best for the evening. It was a preparation worthy of an Oscar night attendance starting with their hair to the shoes! Ana’s shoes and dress were designed by Venezuelan fashion designer Alberto De Castro and the makeup of both ladies was by New York based Venezuelan artist Francisco Valera. Did we mention that they came all the way from Venezuela just for the event?

Up Close On The Winning Fashion Divas:

VIVIAN CARÍAS

During her childhood she loved to participate in sport activities in her school, such as Athleticism, Aerobics, Rhythmic and Olympic Gymnastics. Nowadays she enjoys playing tennis and doing aerial silk, pilates and yoga, but she readily admits that pole fitness is the best thing that has ever happened to her body since the birth of her daughter and twins! Yes, she is a mother of 3! She has been a certified pole fitness instructor since 2009 and recently took a First Aid Training Certification on June, 2010 and Musical and Body Language Certificate September, 2010. She is also holds a graduate degree in Modern Languages. Due to her love of Pole Fitness she decided with her friends Ana, Anyely, Sandra and Daniela to open Vertical Pole Fitness in Caracas, Venezuela. This is the first pole fitness studio in the country to introduce Pole Dance in a fitness manner, for that reason they decided to approach the American Pole Fitness Association which gave them the opportunity to attend the its first championships in October 23, 2010. She seized the opportunity to train with the best in p0le fitness (who were also in town for the championships) such as KT Coates, Prana, Dominic Lacasse, Allegra, APFC 2010 Champions Princeton and Marlo.

ANA SUAREZ
Ana was born in Caracas, Venezuela on June 8th, 1987. She is a pole fitness performer that has been working very hard, training every day to one day fulfill her dreams of competing with the best pole fitness athletes in the world. She holds similar certifications as Vivian and is a co-owner of the aforementioned Vertical Pole Fitness. She loves to practice Aerial Silk, Taekwondo and Martial Arts.  She also participated in all the workshops Vivian signed up for including the ones with APFC Champions Princeton and Marlo (who congratulated her for her development and fast learning related to pole fitness skills). The workshops helped her to improve her techniques and skills, that can now be used to teach her students in a better way back home in Venezuela.
