American Pole Fitness Association’s public presentation of its trademark Pole In The Park™ event went off without a hitch despite some drizzle of rain and heavy wind in the early part of the day. The groundbreaking event in pole fitness history, the first ever city/government approved public pole fitness showcase worldwide, took place at the historical Union Square Park, October 7, 2010. The event featured a medley of performances by carefully selected pole fitness professionals such as the American Pole Fitness Championships finalist Marlo and Jungle Cat. Each demonstrated their flawless pole artistry before the ever jaded (3000+) New York City crowd throughout the day who were all mesmerized by their sheer strength and stamina. Others who also dazzled the crowd were Connecticut’s very own Danielle Boate, Odessa & Alicia Heaney who all got on a 2 hour+ train ride to be a part of the historical event; JillAnne, Ryssa, Ariel Iasevoli, Lauren Goldstein and fresh face Brandon Probst whom Tinu (the organizer) discovered in New York City during a club party. Brandon is a self-taught ball of energy.

Without Further Ado, Now Meet The World’s Youngest Pole Dancer!

It wasn’t too long ago that we presented to you the most senior pole dancer, the 77 yr old Ruth Rosene whose full article was in our premiere issue and now you get to meet the opposite. This article wouldn’t be complete without a mention of the world’s youngest pole dancer who debuted at the historical event much to everyone’s surprise. Just when we thought a 7 year old could possibly be the world’s youngest pole dancer (more on that in our Jan/Feb 2011 issue), out comes Kayne Michael Benford to take the crown. The 2-year-old literally stole the show! With the help of his talented mother Ryssa, he demonstrated every possible pole move his tiny frame could sustain.
