APFC 2011 Elite Division
The highly anticipated 2nd Annual American Pole Fitness Championships will take place at the Manhattan Center, New York City, October 14, 2011 at 630pm. Door/Red carpet will open at 5pm with an afterparty to follow by 10pm. The championships has been divided into 2 parts this year, –Elite and Masters Division. A little over 80 applicants in total submitted for a chance to win the coveted title on October 14. However, only a few were selected for another chance to be reviewed for the Masters Division. The lucky few selected are the distinguished athletes of the Elite Division category listed below and are to be judged by carefully selected APFA US based members and esteemed individuals in pole sport, the Elite Division Judges. Between July 5-7, the judges will review the videos listed below based on their artistry, athleticism and presentation, nothing else beyond that for this round. By July 12, 7 women chosen by the judges will be announced to advance to the Masters Division to complete live before the panel of international judges and audience at the theater. All 7 men listed far below will all advance to the finals but have been posted here for the APFA Video of the Year™ 2011 award consideration, a first in pole championships. Another first, is the inception of having applicants to adhere to a form of introduction before a performance in their video submissions. Having the concept of rewarding an applicant for their hard work in putting together a footage for not only showing their talents, but also for the creative aspect. Furthermore, it is to encourage applicants to put more creative elements into their video submissions in general. Now that it’s fully launched, the concept will only get better each year. We hope you like the concept. You will be seeing more of it in our future events. Unfortunately, videos missing the introduction will not be considered for the award. Applicants do not have to make it into the Elite Division to be considered. This explains why there are 2 applicants’ videos listed after the men’s video section, who did not make the Elite division but demonstrated a better understanding of our new video award concept. They have been placed here for our judges to review for the award consideration along with the others listed there with them who are already part of the Elite Division. The winner will receive an award at the theater. For admittance to the extravagant affair, please visit our TICKET PAGE. We have also made arrangements for our out-of-town guests with group rates at these Hotels. We will start to announce our sponsor line up for this year. We feel very blessed by the tremendous amount of interest from companies far and wide who are in support of event this year. Of course, would always welcome more sponsors, an event can never have too many sponsors, please inquire if interested. 6 Vendor tables have all been fully booked, however we now have the opportunity for businesses to advertise in our event program that is sure to rival none other in the industry. It is a special event program we will be launching at the theater. Get your brand/businesses in the collectors edition guests are bound to take home with them.
