How to get started and be part of the best in pole sport the country has to offer? Like the previous year, applicants are encouraged to put their best foot forward when working on a video submission since this is what the Elite Division Judges will be viewing to make their decisions. Deadline for submission is June 30, 2012. The Elite Division finalist will be announced July 5, 2012. Top athletes chosen by the Elite Division judges to advance to the Masters Division will be announced July 15, 2011. They will compete live before the audience and international panel of judges who will select the American Pole Fitness Champion 2011, male and female. The highly anticipated sophomore event of the American Pole Fitness Championships will take place live at the Manhattan Center, New York City, Friday, October 12, 2012 at 630pm. Door/Red carpet will open at 5pm. Men and women will compete for their individual gender division for the coveted title. The championships will be divided into 2 parts – Elite and Masters Division, to be judged by APFA’s carefully selected US based members and esteemed individuals in pole sport. APFA Committee members will pre-screen all submitted applications before being presented to the Elite Division Judges. About 20 applicants of talented pole athletics and artistic abilities will be chosen from the pool of video submissions. The Elite Division Judges, using the committee members’ pre-screened video submissions of applicants, will score and select the top 12-14 men and women to advance to the Masters Division to perform live at the theater before a panel of international judges and audience. The winners, one from each gender, will be awarded the coveted American Pole Fitness Champion 2012. Competitors will perform to one round of 3-4 minutes of intense pole athletics and artistry. Deadline for submission is June 30, 2012, 12 midnight, EST. The Elite Division finalist will be announced July 5, 2012 and their videos posted for public viewing. Top Elite Division finalist chosen to advance to the Masters Division by the Elite Division Judges will be announced July 15, 2012 to compete October 12, 2012 at the theater. An APFA Video of the Year™ title will be awarded to the applicant with the most entertaining, athletic and artistically demonstrated video presentation for the Elite Division consideration. The winner doesn’t have to be a Masters Division finalist. The winner will be presented and recognized at the theater for their creation. There is a non-refundable $45 entry application processing fee due with video submission. Details on how to make a payment will be sent to those who decide to proceed with the application and video submission. Returning champions and 2nd place title holders are exempt from this fee.
