Pole In The Park™ 2010 Photo Gallery As part of APFA’s ongoing effort to help educate the world about the art of pole fitness as a form of sport, APFA presented the first ever city/government approved public showcase of pole fitness performances, FREE to the public on Union Square Park, Thursday, October 7, 2010. The public showcase marked a historical moment in pole fitness history worldwide. Union Square Park is an important and historic location in the heart of New York City and has served as home base for countless community events and festivals and will now proudly add pole fitness gymnastics to its history. The showcase featured performances by handpicked pole fitness professionals who mesmerized the crowd right in front of the impressive equestrian statue of George Washington. All the performers demonstrated their flawless pole artistry before the ever jaded New York City crowd throughout the day who were all mesmerized by their sheer strength and stamina.
